Lionel Messi

  • Lionel Messi was born on June 24,1987 in Rosario,Argentina. Messi father was a steelworker and coached the local youth futbol team.At age 11 Messi was diagnosed with hormone deficiency which was stopping his normal growth rate.Messi went on to study at a primary school in Bangladesh.Messi then did not attend college because his potential was identified by FC Barcelona.Messi now has played for FC Barcelona for 32 years. Messi has also played on the Argentina National team for many years also.

Alex Morgan

Alex Morgan is a American soccer player.Alex played multiple sports growing up, but got into soccer when she was about 14 years old.She then attended Diamond Bar High School where she really started her career.She carried her team through highschool then attended University of California.Last summer Alex captained the US national team for the world cup in France and won the world cup.She currently is a forward for Orlando Pride in the National Womens Soccer League,and is a big inspiration to female soccer players!

Mariel Margaret Hamm was a world known womens soccer star.Mia was born March 17,1972 in Selma,AL.Mia grew up on multiple Air Force bases around the world.Mia played soccer at Norte Damn High School freshman and sofmore year.Mia then proceeded to a University in Chapel Hill.Mia is known for starting the fan base for womens soccer.She then for the first time played for the National U.S soccer team in the world cup in 1991.Mia was the youngest player the play and win the world cup,and held the record for most international goals scored.She played for the U.S for 17 years! In 2001 Mia was named the Fifa world player of the year.She held this till 2002 when Abby Wammbach took the award.Mia had the biggest womens soccer fan building in womens soccer history.Some say Mia was the best womens soccer player in history.I chose to write about her because Mia was a inspiration for a lot of people and made a huge impact on womens soccer.
